JPMorgan Chase - Defining Real-Time Transfers

One of my first major projects at Chase, Real-Time Transfers introduced instant payments on a new rail—the first of its kind in 40 years. Launched in 2019, it made Chase the first bank to bring real-time transfers to market.

My Role
As lead designer, I owned the strategy from inception through launch, creating a user-friendly experience that helped customers easily choose between real-time and standard transfers. I defined the UX model for real-time payments, which was later adopted across other Chase products. I also led multiple rounds of research, iterated based on customer feedback, and expanded the product in 2020 to include the Request for Payment feature.

Status: Fully live since 2019, with the original design still in use and consistently receiving positive customer feedback.
